We are starting our eleventh homeschool year. Kinda crazy. It’s a good place to be. I miss my older two being with us everyday, but this is a new chapter and the only logical {and healthy} thing to do is embrace it and find the awesomeness in it, right? I have some fun field trips planned for the year. In addition, Emma will be working at a local frozen yogurt shop 1-2 shifts per week, participating in American Heritage Girls, attending her youth group activities, and playing soccer in the spring.
I created my own lesson planner years ago and it helps me stay on track for the year and keeps my thoughts and plans organized!
On a money saving note, I have linked all the curriculum above to their own websites. These websites have the most information and sample page views available. I always purchase everything I can from Rainbow Resource. I have been using them for 10 years and have found the best prices there!
I have worked hard over the summer getting all of the things ready for our start date of September 3rd. It is the first year that I am really feeling that we have gone from a school of 4 children to 2! My older two are 16 months apart and graduated consecutive years. It was sometimes a blur looking back on it. All of the senior activities, college plans, Air Force entering, and Basic Training graduating consumed a lot of time! This year my older two are both settled and doing fantastic. I have half the amount of students! Now for the first time in my entire homeschool career, I can say I am ready for the first day of school before the first day of school. Everything else I am continuing to do in the remaining weeks of summer is just a bonus. It is well!
